Celebrating 750 Followers!
Thanks for all the follows.  barobas you were #750! To celebrate here’s a picture of a sweet little Yamaha 750 Maxim.  The first bike I ever owned was an 83 Maxim and it looked almost exactly like this one!

Back Online

It was good to open up tumblr and scroll through some posts this morning.  The Lenten break from all things social media was good for me.  I realized how much time I was wasting on certain social media platforms and also how much I used it as a crutch to fill the time when I was waiting or just didn’t have anything pressing to do.  I also realized that tumblr was the only thing I really missed … besides getting Racer X tweets on Saturdays to let me know how things were going during practice and qualifying.

So I guess I will go back to twitter pretty soon so I will know what’s going on at the track.  I will probably just let FB go for a while, but I won’t rule out getting back on there in a limited way down the road.  But I am definitely glad to be back to posting and enjoying yall’s posts here in my little moto-corner of tumblr.

Cheers!

And here’s a pic from my Easter ride yesterday.

Season of Reflection

Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday, the first day of the season of Lent.  During the weeks leading up to Easter followers of Jesus sometimes abstain from something for two purposes: to practice the discipline of not doing something we enjoy, and to take extra time to reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.  So this year I am going to abstain from social media.  So no posts here for a few weeks.  Happy riding and I will see you in 40 days to celebrate the Resurrection and ride motorcycles!
